My dad always used mayo to brown foods. Try it on your thanks giving turkey 🙂 for real, it creates a beautiful crispy golden brown skin

I grew up win my parents making grilled cheese with mayo. When I moved to Idaho and I made it for my friends they thought I was a freak. Made them try it and then they always made it with mayo. Sorry butter users. Mayo is better. And don’t use that fat free shit. It will stick.

I switched to mayo grilled cheese a couple years ago and I’ve never looked back…it is so damn good.

I’ve always done my boiled eggs that way. Can verify that it does work.
Still haven’t tried the mayo for grilled cheese. I just love my butter crust with provolone cheese and dipped in hot sauce too much.

I tried the mayo thing instead of butter and didn’t care for the taste. Instead, i just keep the heat low and use a potlid to assure that the cheese gets perfectly melted without scorching the bread

I’ve never cooked bacon in the microwave but I bake it in the oven all the time at 375. Usually when I’m making a huge breakfast for everyone I’ll pop it in there and by the time I’m done cooking everything else the bacon is done and it’s delicious.

I always use mayo for grilled cheese. I also add seasonings onto the bread such as salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, or oregano. And I always dip my grilled cheese in ketchup. Call it weird but it’s no different than tomato soup lol

I won’t be switching over to mayo for my grilled cheese. It worked, but I missed the crisp saltiness from using salted butter.

The grilled cheese would be better if ya used REAL cheese instead of a “cheese product” wanna be. LOL

I didn’t like mayo for the grilled cheese, it didn’t seem to add any flavor. I use I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and it gives the bread a nice flavor and golden color
